TV White Spaces (TVWS) technologies have progressed from concept to technology and regulatory trials, and now into commercialization. In association with International Institute of Communications (IIC), and with support from Infocomm Development Authority (IDA) and Media Development Authority (MDA), the Singapore White Spaces Pilot Group (SWSPG) cordially invites you to a one-day TV White Spaces (TVWS) Workshop, to be held on 10th October 2012, following the IIC Annual Conference in Singapore.
Of particular relevancy and importance to developing countries, this workshop will discuss how TV White Spaces technologies and Dynamic Spectrum Access model could be game-changing for improving broadband penetration and spurring economic development. For developed economies, there will be sessions that examine how White Space technologies could enable machine-to-machine communication for Smart City applications.
This event will feature influential speakers from governments and regulatory bodies, technology and industry experts, end-user organizations in public and private sectors, economic analysis and academic institutes, as well as non-profit development agencies from around the world, with an emphasis on commercialization prospects of TV White Spaces technologies and economic impacts of dynamic spectrum access models. Collectively, these pioneering organizations will inform the latest progress in regulatory development globally, update on technology and product readiness, share recent commercial pilot and deployment experiences, and explore rural and urban use case scenarios and associated business models.
